This week saw the launch of Michigan’s first-ever national tourism advertising effort. From MSNBC to the Travel Channel and CNN to the Food Network, Pure Michigan television commercials will air on 15 national cable networks, run 55,000 times nationally and be seen by approximately 60 million viewers.
Four new television commercials have been added to the award-winning Pure Michigan campaign: ‘14 Clubs,’ ‘Dancing in the Streets,’ ‘Lost and Found,’ and ‘Treasure.’ The new commercials are available for viewing and sharing here.
While other states are cutting back on their tourism promotion efforts, Michigan is investing the resources needed to showcase our beautiful state and all it has to offer to families and adventure seekers. Thanks to Governor Granholm and the Michigan Legislature, we have made an unprecedented investment of $30 million this year to spread the word and take our message national. So, while people may ‘Love New York’ and Virginia may be ‘For Lovers,’ I’m predicting a new national love affair with ‘Pure Michigan.’
